Review: Kérastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Heat-Activated Reconstructor Milk01:17
Today I wanted to share my experience with this fairly new product of mine.
It is from Kérastase and it's called Resistance Ciment Thermique Heat-Activated Reconstructor Milk Level 1-4. It's leave-in heat protecting milk for damaged hair. I have to say my hair has been very damaged, pretty much, all the time. I don't know quite what it is, probably all the stress and unhealthy food. But I mostly blame it on hair color. So if you haven't colored your hair, don't do it-your hair will thank you :)
I bought this products because of the good reviews and because I wanted to try at least one product of this brand. I have to say these products are just-so-damn expensive. This is initially heat protect with sort of restorative abilities, which contains 125 ml for around 19 €.
The consistency of milk is pretty runny and it doesn't have any noticeable lumps or any texture to it. It's very smooth and white. The smell is- well -interesting. It's sort of like cucumber dipped in sugar. It has that fresh smell of cucumbers, but still sort of sweetness to it.
I have been using it for about 4 months. Not every week, sort of every other week. I like the final result that it gives to my hair. I use it after I clean and condition my hair, because it is a leave-in product. When I want to dry it with blow drier I use a VERY (literally a peas size is enough for pretty long hair, because it's spreads really well) small amount of it and massage it into my hair from the ends up. Of course concentrating on the ends mostly. Then I blow dry my hair. I have to say, the hair looks amazing after drying it. It looks very shiny, soft when you touch it and very light. It doesn't weight down the hair. I have also noticed that it makes my hair very straight. I mean, I have naturally straight hair, but when I use this, it looks like I used a flat iron. So I think it also helps to tame down the frizz.
To conclude this review - I really like the final effect that it gives to my hair. Which are shiny, smooth, straight hair, but I think that it is a bit too expensive. I think some other products may give me a similar effect for less money or at least more product for that money. I don't see any big change in my hair being healthier just because of that one product. I do love the fact that it is a heat protect and restorative product all in one and that it is a leave-in products. That way I can at least imagine it working for a bit longer time than a wash off hair mask.
Have you tried any of Kérastase products? What is your favorite heat protect product?
