Review: Ecotools concealer and Ebelin lip brush

Hey Beauties!

Finally some brushes review. I am one of those that loves makeup brushes. In fact, since I've gotten some foundation brushes, I never wanna use my hands again. Mostly because I don't have time to run to the bathroom every time I apply my makeup. The same goes for concealer, so I ordered this Ecotools concealer brush. I also saw a nice lip brush from Ebelin in DM store, so I got ti. I do have some lip brushes, but they are not as straight cut as this one and I like the thought of this one giving me more precision.

My experience with some of the Ecotools brushes was either excitement or let down. I'm afraid I did not like this one, as much as I thought I would.

The brush holder is of course made out of bamboo and all their brushes are nature friendly. I also like the metal thing on top. The bristles are a bit harder then I would want. I have extremely sensitive skin around my eyes and those bristles are too hard for my liking. The shape of the brush is great, because you put the concealer only at the end of the bristles. The rest of the bristles help to blend it out, because of their domed shape. The overall size it's also good, not to big and not to small. It's easy to get into space around nose and such. I have nothing that bothers me, except the hard bristles and I don't like that. It's not hard when you try it on your hand or anywhere on the face, it's only not nice for the around the eyes area. I wanted to use it especially for my under eye concealer and it doesn't feel nice. I can use it only to stipple the product around that area and then help with my fingers. For the rest of the face, it's good.

The brush cost me around 2.50€ (iHerb.com).

You can also see a review of some of the other Ecotools brushes here.

I'm glad I picked this Ebelin lip brush, because I really like it and have been using it a lot. It's plastic and has pretty soft, yet dense bristles. I like that the bristles are relatively short, because it gives me more precision and contact with the lips. I really like the straight cut, because I can apply a perfect line of lipstick around the edges of my lips. I really, really like it. The only thing that it's harder to do with this brush is creating curves around the cupids bow, since it gives straight lines, but you can manage it with some practice. My lipsticks have been locking a lot better with this brush, since I could really get the perfect application with straight lines.

The brush costs 2.45 €, total bargain (DM).

I would love any suggestions on which concealer brush is really soft and has that domed look to it? Any suggestions? Also, do you use lip pencils or put the lipstick on straight from the bullet?
