Into the Blue

Hey Beauties!

I'm starting to realize that I love my neutral and peachy gold shades too much. To the point where I neglect a lot of other shades in my eyeshadow palettes. So, I decided to make more colorful makeups with the eyeshadow shades that are not my usual choice. Don't get me wrong, I'll still use a lot of violet, gold and peach, just combined with different shades. Does that happen to you too? I seem to only use certain shades from my palettes. Today is about blue silver combination, which is not my usual choice of color, since I find those make me look very cool toned and somewhat dark :).

I started by applying blue matte shadow on the lid, leaving out the outer fourth. I added light warm matte brown in the crease and darkened the corners of the crease with dark chocolate brown matte shade.

Then I used shimmery dark silver shade and darkened outer corners. I used a silver blue shimmery shade and put it over the matte blue shade with my finger. I used bright blue as a base before to make this blue stand out more. Then I used the same matte blue at the center of the lower lid and I used the two matte brown shades in the outer third of lower lid.

I went over brown matte shades with shimmery dark silver shade. I also went over blue matte shade with the silver blue shimmery shade and brought it near the inner corner of the eye. In the inner corner of the eye I used matte white shade as a base and then I went over it with light champagne white shimmery shade. This time I skipped the eyeliner and instead used black matte eye shadow as an eyeliner. I did winged it out a little, since you know I really like that look.

Finished with lots of mascara. After that I cleaned up the edges with concealer to make it look more sharpened and winged out.

I did my usual foundation and concealer routine. I also used taupe shade to contour around my outer edges of the face and used champagne colored highlighter. I didn't wanted to put on too much blush, so I used a very light hand with shimmery peachy blush. As for the lips, I used pink based nude lipstick. Since the eyes are so bold, the rest of the face makeup is very neutral and simple.

  3. Super makeup!

  10. That's the same case with me, but when it comes to lipsticks and nail polishes - I used to choose only red ones, but not so long ago I decided to diversify my collection a bit :)

    1. Oh don't get me started on lipstick and nail polishes. Nail polishes especially, I tend to just use those color that I like and the formulas that are long lasting. The rest, I just forget to use. The same with lipstick. When there's something new that I like, I'll mostly just use that. I'm the worst at that:)).
