Summer Picks: Makeup, Nails and Fragrances

Hey Beauties!

I've grown to love these seasonal picks of my favorite makeup, nail polishes and fragrances. Since we're high in summer mood, it's only right, that I do this post. Some say, it's stupid to look on makeup as seasonal, but I have certain colors that I just love to wear in summer and certain colors that I wear all year around. Hope this post will inspire you to bring some of your old favorites out or give you some inspiration on what you might need in your collection.

For my base makeup I usually go with the same products with the exception that I have to reach for darker foundation shades and that I love more mattifying products.

Base

Revlon Photoready perfecting Primer 001 - I don't usually use primer, but in summer, this can really help to prolong the wear of makeup. This one is very silicony and makes my skin super smooth.
Missha Perfect Cover B.B. Cream 21 Light Beige - I love this so much that I mix it with everything, because it's very light. It gives very natural finish and lovely sheen.
Revlon Colorstay Foundation Combination/Oily Skin 150 Buff - a true long lasting hero in my collection. This will withstand and weather conditions.
L'Oreal Infallible 24h-Matte Mattifying Infallible Foundation 11 Vanilla - I don't like this on it's own, because it feels to matte, but mixed with other foundations, it gives lovely blurred matte effect.
Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer 005 Light Natural/020 Light Beige - still my favorite concealer. 005 is for highlighting under my eyes and 020 is when I get some tan and want concealer to match my foundation.
Catrice Camouflage Cream 020 Light Beige - one of those cream concealers great for concealing bruises or pimples on my body.
MAC Studio Finish Concealer NC15 - I love to mix this with Catrice Liquid Camouflage for under the eyes to really brighten and cover that dark line in the inner corners of my eyes.
Maybelline Master Contour V-Shape Duo Stick Contour & Highlight 01 Light - great product for under powder products to just give slight definition.
Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder 001 Transparent - one of those powders that actually mattifies the skin and keeps it matte for the longest time. It's also not cakey.
E.l.f. High Definition Powder Sheer - I've grown to love this again. It's super smooth and I love it under my eyes or as a light dust all over the face without adding any color.

To me blushes have to somehow match my other face makeup, like eyeshadows and lipsticks. In general, in summer I love orange and peach toned blushes. But I also have some that pair with my neutral looks as well as more plumy lip products. Summer is one of rare seasons that I reach for cream products, because I feel like they are the easiest way to put together, when you don't want to wear full face of makeup.

Blush

Essence Soo Blush! Cream to Powder Blush 10 Sweet As A Peach - I rarely use cream blushes, but I do love them in summer. Especially when I wear minimal makeup or just want to look alive.
Avon Glow Bronzing Multi Stick Blushing Coral - again one of those super easily to use stick blushes. Pink color looks really natural.
Avon Glow Bronzing Multi Stick Glowing Nude - I intoduced this as a bronzer, but I like it as a blush more. Especially with darker foundations. It can also replace highlighter.
H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher Apricot - one of my new favorite peach satin blushes. This is very light and I love it for really soft color on the cheeks.
H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher Brown Sugar - this one is probably going to be in my every seasonal post. It's one of the most versatile brownish based blushes for nude looks.
Milani Baked Powder Blush 05 Luminoso - one of my old favorite blushes. It's very glowy, because of the shimmer, so it gives lovely sheen to the skin.
theBalm Hot Mama! Shadow/Blush - really pigmented coral peach blush with gorgeous gold sheen. This one will look especially pretty with darke foundations and some tan.
Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls Pink Bronze - probably one of the lightes products in the blush category. It's more of a dust of color and shine. I love that it gives a really soft glow and just a bit of color.
Catrice Illuminating Blush 010 I Am Nuts About You - one of those fall favorites, but I love to pair it with plum lipsticks in the summer as well. I find the color really pretty to match with any plum and purple lipsticks.
E.l.f. Blush Palette Light (Shade 2 and 4) - one is a warm brownish peach shade and one is classic coral peach shade. These are really pigmented and can be paired with more neutral or colorful looks.

This is probably my favorite category. As you know, I am obsessed with highlighters and when could they possibly look better than in summer?! Let's ignore the fact that you're makeup is going to look dewy in summer heat no matter what you put on, so why not embrace it. It's also one season that I can wear all my darker highlighters. Especially on holiday, when I catch some tan.

Face and Body Highlight and Bronzers

Kiko Radiant Touch Creamy Stick Highlighter 100 Gold - I love this because of the convenient stick form. It's so easy and quick to use it. Shade is also really nice champaigne, fairly natural looking.
Sugar Box Face Shimmer Stick 02 - this is from Bornw Pretty Store and it has a really obvious pink sheen to it. I love to use this on my collar bone and tops of arms.
theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer - my favorite highlighter ever. It's really shiny golden sheen.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter 10 Be My Highlight - new edition to my highlighter collection. It's champagne gold shade, but it's darker so I would probably only be able to use it when I get some tan.
Catrice LE Treasure Trove Golden Powder C01 Golden Grace - very unique pink or almost mauve based highlighter that is again on the darker side and I was saving it for when I get some tan to pair with cooler purple looks.
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Golden Lights - light but very yellow gold highlighter that will look super pretty paired with all those red lipsticks. I especially like gold against my olive summer skin tone.
Terra Naturi Shimmer Powder Body & Face 01 Golden Highlight - I love this very gold highlighter, but it's again one of those shades that I can only pull off in the summer. Great for any medium skin tone.
Essence LE Lights of Orient Bronzer 01 Sunkissed Beauty - my current favorite satin finish bronzer. I adore it and already bought second one. It's light, but can be build up.
theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer - this could easily be highlighter for dark skin tone, but I use it as a shimmery bronzer or on top of matte bronzer. It's very orange toned and warm.
Essence LE The Beach House Beach Glow Fluid 01 Girls Just Wanna Have Sun - bronzy metallic sheen with silver shimmer. Good to apply with body moisturizer or use as a light was of bronze all over the face.
Catrice LE Sound of Silence Fluid Glow C01 Golden Spirit - my absolute winner of this year. Golden metallic sheen that can be mixed with everything. I use it with my foundation and mixed with body moisturizers.
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Multi-purpose Dry Oil - also my latest edition and the one that I can't wait to use. I love regular version of this oil and this one with added golden shimmer will be perfect for body and even hair.

I am a creature of habit and I love my neutrals. But in the summer I also love colorful looks that match fun summer colored clothes. There is also one makeup look that just epitomizes summer and that is bronzed eye makeup, which is my favorite of them all.

Eyeshadow Palettes

Zoeva Cocoa Blend (Sweeter End, Subtle Blend, Pure Ganache) - I love this palette in general. Sweeter End is great as a light was all over the lid, when you don't want to play up your eyes. Subtle Blend is perfect bronzer shade to compliment any makeup. Pure Ganache would look amazing on it's own or as a pop on the lid.
Zoeva Mixed Metals (Neo Brass, Rusty Steel, Copper Plate, Platinum) - I've been using this palette a lot lately. Neo Brass has to be one of my favorite shades, it's warm green and looks so pretty on the eyes. Rusty Steel is again one of those classic browns, slightly darker than Subtle Blend. Copper Plate is amazing for summer as a lid shade, since it really gives that coppery warmth. Platinum is probably the most unique shade in the palette, it's like a camouflage green (green grey) with some warm sheen, great for all over the lid (it looks too blue on this photo).
theBalm Nude'tude (Seductive) - my favorite shade from this palette. Gorgeous warm brown for all over the lid.
I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate (Mocha Lover, Dipped, Frosted Choc, Double Dip) - these colors are all either in the brown family with the exception of Double Dip, which is perfect golden peachy shade. I won't describe them individually. I just love brown shades for the summer to pair with bold lipsticks.
Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matts V1 (all shades) - good basic palette for adding matte colorful bright shades.
Avon True Colour Matte Eyeshadow Quad Au Naturale (all shades) - perfect matte neutral palette to pair with any face makeup and lipstick.
Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad Precious Shells (all shades) - I love this blue and green combination for when you want some more color on the eyes, but still want it to be wearable.
Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad Underwater Paradise (all shades) - probably one of my favorite Avon quads. I am especially in love with shade 3. I find combination of shades unique and still very wearable and in the neutral colorful family.

Single Eyeshadow

Avon Ideal Flawless Eye Shadow Primer - I only use this primer and it works great to enhance the eyeshadow and make them more long lasting.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 05 Eternal Gold - sheer shimmery gold cream shade that looks great as a wash of color all over the lid to just add some shine.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 35 On And On Bronze - one of my favorite cooler bronze shades for all over the lid. This is also really long lasting, so perfect for summer.
Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow 06 Golden Brown - very similar to On An On Bronze. It's in stick form, so even more convenient for on the go.
Avon Supershock Vivid Liquid Eye Shadow Soft Bronze - this is lighter and sheerer and great for when you're in a hurry. I usually apply it and blend it with one brush and done.
Avon Supershock Vivid Liquid Eye Shadow 24K Gold - even prettier golden brown that looks perfect paired with warm toned lipsticks.
Be Creative Make Up Eyeshadow 024 Bewitched - I had it in spring picks and I still love it as an inner highlight or light color on the lid.
L'Oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow 021 Sahara Treasure - super pigmented taupe brown shades for all over the lid to really add shine.
Golden Rose Silky Touch Pearl Eyeshadow 121 - one of my newest eyeshadows and I already fell in love with it. It's not super shimmery, but gives the most gorgeous shine to the eyes and I love warm brown shade.

If you're someone that likes to stay in the neutral zone and doesn't want to experiment with colorful eyeshadows than colorful eyeliners are for you. Eyeliners are the easiest way to add some color. You can use them on upper lid, around lower lash line and in the inner corners. Blues look especially pretty in super. You know that whole nautical theme.

Eyeliners

Avon Always On Point Eyeliner Molten Rose - shimmery peachy shade, great for brightening up the eyes.
Avon Always On Point Eyeliner Molten Pewter - I find this grey olive green super unique and love to brighten up my eyes on the lower lash line.
Avon Glow Kajalstick Warm Sand - perfect nude peach shade for inner corners.
Avon Glow Kajalstick Pacific Blue - lovely ocean blue shade to add pop of color.
Avon Khol Eye Liner Turquoise Waters - one of the brightest turquose shades.
Avon Khol Eye Liner Cobalt Blue - cobalt blue, great for adding color, but still giving some definition.
Avon Khol Eye Liner Deep Violet - I love purple eyeliners and this one is dark enough to still give my eyes some depth.
Avon Khol Eye Liner True Black - black is always in my collection. I love applicators on these, because they have nice rubbery side that can easily smudge them and create quick wing.
Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner Black - my favorite pencil form gel formula. It's super smooth and soft and looks really dark on the eyes.
E.l.f. Cream Eyeliner Coffee - sometimes blue is too harsh for those soft sun kissed bronze looks. Then I love to use this dark brown.

I am one of those people that changes brow products according to my hair color and not based on season. Since In the summer I have either really light almost yellowish dark blond color or darker brown (when I color my hair). That's why I like darker and more neutral brow products.

Brows

Catrice Eye Brow Stylist 020 Date With Ash-ton - my standard brown shade for when I have either very light hair or very dark.
Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara 01 Blondy Brows - I love this one, because I feel like it gives some color and I can brush the brows with it, which is really nice, since my brows sometimes bend on all sides.
Kiko Eyebrow Marker No-transfer Natural Tattoo 02 - this is a bit too cool for my liking, but I love how long lasting it is. I usually use it for when I go on the pool. I just need my brows at all times.

When it comes to mascaras, I don't like to experiment. It's hard to find good mascara, so why change it?!

Mascara

Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara Intense Black/Black - my favorite mascara. I like it in regular black version as well. It gives volume and it's one of the only mascaras that holds my curl.

Lip liners are either gonna match my lipsticks or are going to be used in place of lipsticks.

Lip Liner

Essence Lipliner 11 In The Nude - my favorite nude pencil. It gives enough definition, but is not too hard.
Golden Rose Dream Lips Lipliner 501 - favorite creamy nude pencil. I use this instead of a lipstick.
Essence Longlasting Lipliner 04 Peach Beauty - again one of those that I'll use instead of lipstick. Pretty coral peach shade.
Avon Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner Coral Desire - this one will be paired with my warm toned orange and red lipstick.
Avon Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner True Red - one to pair with cooler red lipsticks.

You can go crazy with lip colors in the summer. If you're naturally darker skin tone, you can obviously do this all year around, but I only get some tan on holiday and I plan to utilize it to the max. That means lots of reds and oranges that just look so pretty against golden highlight. I also love lighter formulas that are a bit more moisturizing and leave a stain. Plums and neutral also look really good paired with different looks.

Lipsticks

Avon Ultra Colour Indulgence Honey Flower - my favorite moisturizing formula and nude shade for any season.
Avon Ultra Colour Indulgence Peach Petunia - this bright peach is again one of my favorites. I think bright orange based shades are just perfect for summer.
Kiko Temptress Lip Set 04 Passionately Red - this I love to use as a light stain, since it's almost like a gel moisturizing formula.
Catrice Supreme Fusion 070 Remarry Berry - again one of those formulas that I love to use as a light stain. I also like warm plum shade of it.
Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon Raspberry Rush - brighter purple which I also like as a stain or a quick color all over the lips withough being too precise.
Avon 3D Plumping In The Buff - classic nude that goes with every crazy bold eyes.
Avon 3D Plumping Cantaloupe - creamy warmer peach that I love with warm neutral looks.
Avon 3D Plumping Stolen Kisses - one of rare pinks that are really wearable on me and can almost pass as a my lips but better shades.
Avon 3D Plumping Bitten - my favorite bright fuchsia shade. This is a true statement lip.
The Hot Shop Lips 11 - again one of those neutral shades that looks like a mix of pink and brown.
MAC Lustre High Tea - lovely sheerer brown with golden shimmer in it. Perfect on top of other products or on its own to just add some shine.
MAC Matte Lady Danger - my favorite orange based red that looks stunning with bronze eye makeup.

Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Au Naturale - matte version of warm neutral brown shade.
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Peach Flatters - almost a bit pink based coral that doesn't look too pink on me. I like this one because it's still very wearable, but just adds some color.
Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Coral Fever - again one of my favorite warm orange shades that I just adore in summer.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Athens - my favorite matte liwuid lipstick formula. It's almost like mousse and it never dries out my lips. I love this very light peachy shade to pair with any look, but mostly with neutral looks.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Stockholm - a bit brownish and almost mauve based version of neutral shade.
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet 04 Peach Club - bright peach that also looks really nice mixed together with other neutral matte liquid lipsticks to just add some color.

Lip Balms, Lip Glosses and Liquid Lipsticks

Avon Luxe Lip Balm Honey Tint - warm brown lip balm to just add some color.
Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother 010 Sweet Caramel - this is so comfortable on the lips. I would use this whenever my lips are getting drier or have been on the sun and salt all day. It's like a rilief for my lips.
Maybelline Watershine Gloss 715 Crystal Dune - still one of my favorite shimmery brown lip glosses. Looks super juicy.
Avon Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss Rose Reflection - one of my favorites, because it has lots of gold shimmer in it, which gives a very nice golden sheen. I like to use this on top of other lipsticks or stains.
Essence Liquid Lipstick 03 Almost Real - again one of those really comfortable juicy lip formulas that is one the nude warm side.

If pastels are typical for spring than neons are typical for summer. Sometimes I like my nails to be bright and in your face, but other times I like pastels and lots of white. White again looks really nice with tan and pops out the most. As with eyeliners, this is also the only season that I may reach for some navy blue shades, because in general I am not a fan of regular blues.

Nail Polishes

Revlon Nail Enamel 050 White On White - true white.
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 171 Bleach Babe - pearly white.
Berry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint Coconut - muted almost a bit nude white.
Kiko Nail Lacquer 507 Blush - my favorite nude shade, because it's pastel peach.
Maybelline Colorama Bleached Neons 241 - pastel neon peach. Lovely combination.
Revlon Nail Enamel 440 Siren - coral orange.
Maybelline Color Show 341 Orange Attack - orange red.
Avon Gel Shine Nail Enamel Fabulous - unique bright redish pink.
Maybelline Colorama 317 - pretty fuchsia pink.
Golden Rose Express Dry Nail Lacquer 15 - pastel green.
Kiko Nail Lacquer 526 Mint - greenish mint.
Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel 23 In The Navy - rare true navy blue that I like.
H&M Nail Polish The One - champagne shimmery shade.
Avon Magic Effects Molten Metal Copper - coppery shimmery shade.
Essence Effect Nail Polish 22 I Heart Magic - holographic multi shimmer top coat.
Avon Magic Effects Diamond Shatter - my favorite summer top coat, because it has multi colored transparent flakes that look like mermaid tail or mirror effect.

What reminds me of summer the most is coconut. I am a sweet scent lover and I wanna smell like coconut or pastries all day long. Saying that, sometimes it is just too hot to put on a sweet perfume. For those times I have some fresher and more greenish based fragrances.

Fragrances

Avon Pur Blanca - very fresh floral version for really hot summer days.
Avon Dreams - elegant soft subtle sweet floral scent.
Avon Little Black Dress Eau Fraiche - fresh greenish scent with slight bit of sweetness for hot summer days.
Avon Far Away Exotic - my all time favorite scent. It has a very warm sweet note (coconut as well).
Yves Rocher Malaysian Coconut - my favorite coconut smell that I like to apply on top of other fragrances.
Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion - more of a vanilla warm scent that is really long lasting.
Essence LE Lights of Orient Body Splash - warm oriental scent that also has some gold shimmer that can be spritzed all over the body.

A res? Iz prodaje gre? Škoda. :/ Saj verjetno ga bodo nadomestili s kakšnim drugim izdelkom v podoben odtenku.

Mislim, da sem ga pred letom še videla enkrat v katalogu, ko so še zadnje zaloge prodajali in ga nora nisem kupila.
